The Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center

The Suffolk Y JCC was the lead agency, as 400 teens from agencies, youth groups, churches and synagogues joined together to participate in "Unity in the Community" a day of community service. This event is the culmination of year long planning by teens from the Suffolk Y JCC, Huntington YMCA, Great South Bay YMCA and the Islamic Center of Long Island.

        
         The Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center is a social service agency that is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their personal goals and maximize their potentials by providing quality group activities and individualized support.
         Since it was established in 1975, the Suffolk Y JCC has welcomed and served people of all ages, races, religions, and ethnic and national backgrounds. They are deeply committed to enhancing mutual respect and understanding, and providing a sense of community within our increasingly diverse service area.
         Their 157,000 sq. ft. facility, located on a 54 acre campus in Commack, enables the JCC to provide programs, services and activities for over 25,000 members and non-members, infants through senior adults throughout Suffolk County.
